Rest in peace

Hey, this review is a public service announcement. Please hit approve -- I don't think I'm getting credit anyway because my last review of this venue was recent.

Showed up at 6:00 or so, with spending money in pocket. No one on stage. A few fellow PLs around the bar -- less than 6. Maybe less than 5. I order a lager from the bartender -- a tall, large boned Black woman. A chubby dancer -- whose name I did not catch -- takes the stage and walks around to music. She gets down for tip round, no one gets on stage to follow her. She stops at the first punter and starts chatting and chatting and chatting. There's another dancer seated at the bar, hair (which was green) done up on her head to make her look like a tele-tubby or maybe something out of Dr. Seuss. She never moved from her seat. Another dancer -- slim, petite woman -- has glommed on to the dude to my left. They go into the common room and don't come back out. Lucky bastard. A white dancer -- in a one piece -- steps out of the dressing room, looks around, turns around and goes back into the dressing room.

I have been to livelier funereal homes. I've had more fun at wakes.

My general practice is to set a timer on my watch for 30 minutes when I walk in -- figuring a place has to be promising after half an hour or it's time to bounce.

I didn't even make it to 17 minutes. I left and went to La Pearl.
