Picked The Rhino Over The Hippo

After hitting Sapphire on Friday a couple of us decided to check out the Peppermint Hippo which is the old Olympic Garden. But, our cab driver was adamant that it was too expensive and not worth it. We told him we are aware that Vegas clubs are all glitter and little go. But, he continued to insist we should go somewhere else. He suggested Hustler or Sapphire. We told him we hit Sapphire the night befor and wanted a change of scenery. I wasn’t that impressed with a Hustler visit years ago. So we settled on the reliable Spearmint Rhino.

I was surprised to only be charged $40 to get in. A few years ago I recall we paid $55. We didn’t argue. It is a lot darker in SR than most Vegas clubs. This makes it a challenge to avoid getting grabbed as you enter by a lady that may not fit your tastes. It is best to quickly walk the gauntlet to a bar. There is one on the right across from the main stage. Make it there and you can assess the situation.

We got a couple $14 beers which is more than the $12 they cost a few years ago. But two dollars is irrelevant in this place where $100s flow freely. We did our best to hang onto ours. A few girls managed to squeeze some from us for 3/$100 lap dances.
