Classic Milwaukee corner bar with a stripper stage

Stopped in to The Encore on my way through town on a drive to Chicago. Hadn't been there for a couple years and wanted to see what it was like now. In short exactly the same. It is a standalone bar just like the hundreds of corner bars in Milwaukee. That can be good or bad depending what you are looking for from a club. Walked in and was asked for a five buck cover and they scanned my ID with a hand held scanner which I didn't like, but it was scanned before I could say anything. Bought a cheap beer at the bar from a friendly lady who I think must be the owner along with the guy who scanned my ID. Went to the stage at the end of the bar with a stack of singles. Stage has two poles, both used by the dancers who do two song sets. but I had to laugh because one pole is a real stripper pole and the other is actually the load-bearing support post holding up the building. There were five girls that night that Isaw. They were all friendly but definitiely not the strip club A team. They were a mix of larger girls and goth chicks and actually fit the atmosphere of a corner bar and what you'd find there. They were friendly for tips and nice. But nothing I was really eager to have a dance with. They all asked but I wasn't feeling it. Dances were pitched as 25 bucks for one song or 45 for two in a small room that has four chairs in it next to the stage. This isn't a private room if other folks are there but would be on a quiet night. There also was a private 115 buck 15 minute option but I don't know where that room is or what it looks like. Finished a second beer after tipping all of the girls and shoved off for the night.
