Just Can't Help Myself
Starting with the Place: Bare Elegance is a fantastic layout from a building perspective. There is a long bar, a couple of stages, some upstairs rooms and downstairs rooms. Everything is super clean. At no point did I ever feel as though I was in a 'dirty' strip club. The Music level was super reasonable, to the point where you could hear the music but still talk to dancers. It's also worth noting that the food is fantastic. They legitimately have one of my favorite burgers in LA. It's a no alcohol club but if you ask for "star water" that's vodka in a water bottle.
The People: A very good mix of dancer ethnicity from Asian, to white to black. Overall super attractive woman and they're incredibly approachable and friendly. There are probably around 25 or so dancers at peak times on Saturday night and they're all sweet, welcoming and excited to chat with you. They make conversations easy, but some can bit a bit too forward and salesy for me. I prefer to let conversation flow and see where things go. Obviously this is a personal preference but for me it matters.
Price: The prices are the toughest part about BE. ATM Fees are $24. Door cover is only like $20 which isn't terrible. A 15 minute dance upstairs is around $200. A 30 minute downstairs private room dance is $400. The $400 is much better value and the girls seem to be much more flexible with the dance. If you play your cards right with up front communication and level setting before you get to the room a lot of them will negotiate some extras for you. I got to make out with and go down on both dancers which was awesome, but at the same time the price just felt more than it was worth in hindsight.
