I normally go to clubs in Lawrence but this time I decided to drive a little further to Topeka to check out what they had to offer. I decided on Topeka Sports Cabaret after reading the reviews here and got mostly what I expected.

First thing you'll encounter is the bouncer at the front door who asked me to empty my pockets and he wanded me and patted me down. No big deal, I knew that was coming. Cover was $5. The main area is pretty spacious with a long bar and TVs playing various sports channels. The stage is opposite the bar and has one pole. Lots of chairs and tables around the place but I decided to sit at the bar. I immediately noticed it was pretty warm inside, warmer than any other club I've been to, even in the summer. I ordered a Beam and Coke and that ran me $14 - I stuck to beer after that, which was $5. The bartender was very nice and conversational.

When I arrived around 10:30, there were maybe 10 other customers inside and about 5 dancers. One of them came over to sit down next to me, a thick girl with long, jet black hair and a cute face. Just my type, but I was still getting loosened up so I told her I'd see her later in the night. A few minutes later, another girl came over and sat down, she was a petite brunette who had only been dancing a month. Cute, but the attraction wasn't there for me. The other dancers I saw were an older skinny girl with fake tits, a blonde who looked like she was in her 50s, and a club veteran with a nice body who was constantly going to VIP or upstairs with customers. All of them were white.
