Better Visit than last time.

Back to HK after a 4 month absence. I made two trips last week, one on Sunday night and one on Wednesday night. Both nights I reserved a room as Cascada's. Even with the recent increase in hotel prices, I really like having a safe haven to get out of the noise even if I just take one BG arriba, and if I end up taking two I have basically paid for the room.

Quick border discussion, I crossed the border both nights with a simple waive through from Mexican immigration, no FMM or $30 shakedown. All taxi rides I paid $6, or I used the Zone Shuttle where I normally tip $5. Border crossing to get back across on Sunday night at 10:00pm was a hour, longest it had taken me to cross at night in a long time. Thankfully on Wednesday night about the same time there was no line and it took 10 minutes.

My goal Sunday was to do a pretty quick visit. I had a busy Monday morning planned so wanted to be in out out in about 2 hours. After checking in at Cascadas (which always takes forever) and getting my room, I headed down the rear entrance of the hotel to enter HK off the alley side. I had been given a wristband at the hotel, so don't know if there was a cover but there normally is not during the week. I grabbed my favorite spot which is a booth along the back stage. If the club gets busy they usually will not let a single guy sit here as they would rather have groups at the stage. The shaving cream show seemed like it was going the whole time I was there.
