not what it was pre-covid
I hadn't been to Synn since before covid but my wife and I had really fond memories of it from a few years ago, so we went last Saturday and were super excited about it. I'm sad to say it wasn't nearly as fun as we'd remembered. We asked what the cover was now and it was $15/person even thought it was like 1pm, and what they didn't tell us was that there's a one (soft-) drink minimum, so after paying for that too, it was essentially $25/person just to walk in the door. Which, if the place was popping, fine - but it was dead as hell and we felt pretty ripped off.
The dancers ranged from bored and attractive to bored and not-so-attractive. You got a little wriggle for putting down a couple bucks on the tip rail, but zero contact. When it was time for the 3-for-$40 lap dances, a couple of the dancers walked around asking if we wanted some, but most of them seemed apathetic. I know some dancers don't want to be in their profession, but at the same time, we wanted to see - and get lap dances - from women who didn't seem like they hated being there. And we didn't see anyone who seemed like they were into what they were doing. We watched the very boring stage shows for about 45 minutes and then headed out. Kind of a bummer.
