Not What It Used To Be

I keep going back to this place hoping it will somehow wander back to the way it was before the pandemic and I need to stop thinking that's possible. I know a lot of guys miss the days when all or most of the ladies would wander around nude and sit on your lap as they pitched you to buy private dances. That was a nice show but it also may have had something to do with a friendlier mood. You walked in and all that nudity just smacked you in the face in a nice way. It was like walking into the girls' locker room at high school except there were no fatties.

Now the mood is dour and too many of the ladies are staring at their phones or talking with each other. I don't understand how some of them think they're going to make any money. They either ignore you or do a quick drive-by to ask if you want a dance then and there. What I have to do now is to wait until a woman I like takes to the stage and then I walk up, throw down a $5 tip and tell her to come see me when she's off stage. That may just get her to come over and talk to me and I may then decide she's not the one I want to spend money on in the back. It's not just that the girls aren't as naked. They aren't as friendly.

However, when you find one who is, that can be pretty nice but then it gets expensive. I mentioned to one girl that some of the dance prices had been raised and she said that's how it has been there since Randy quit or was fired and moved out of town. The guy running it now believes that when business is bad, that's the time to raise prices. He might be surprised how the gross would go up if he did it the other way around. I'd certainly be there more often spending more.
