"Moon" is the "shining star"

I was at the Spearmint Rhino on a Sunday evening couple of weeks back. Previously, I used to take the limo. But I saw numerous comments saying that the limo does not get you a free entry anymore. So, this time I drove. Plenty of parking. Cover charge was $43.60.

At around 10 PM on a Sunday evening, it was very light in terms of crowd. Most of the sections within the club were closed out. During my previous trips, I have never done the 15 minute for $100 and so this time I was planning on getting one.

The lap dance on the floor used to be $20. On this visit, I heard all the way from $20 to even $50. I asked one of the girls on why there was a variation in the rates and she said that girls were only supposed to charge $20 but some girls don't stick to the actual rate. Even though I saw a variation in rates of the floor dances, the 15 minute dance was always $100. Some have already mentioned this in this forum but here are some additional details. On top of the $100, you need to buy 2 drinks, a total of $45. Obviously, you need to tip the waitress $5 or so for this. Then there is a bouncer guy who lets people into the VIP room. On our way out after the dance, the girl with whom I had the dance with tells me that I need to tip this guy $10. So, in total, it was $160 for 15 minutes.
