Decent Thursday Night, LD area worth it, VIP not so much
The following is a review from a first time visitor to Spearmint Rhino. Actual visit was late 2022, finally getting around to writing this all down.
Quick club rundown. Smallish parking lot, well lit. Walk into main entry area which is actually very nicely decorated. Bouncer checks ID, quick pat down and house rules explained. Guy likes to crack jokes and is a good guy to deal with. Pay cover ($10 I beleive) and you're in.
Upon entering the actual club, layout is as follows: bar is in left hand corner, up a few stairs so slightly elevated. Main stage is center of room and there's a tiered seating arrangement all around. Get-up close and personal right by stage, tippers rows but also more table and chairs set up where you'reclose to stage but would have to get up to tip stage dancers. Go up a couple steps and there's another level of chairs with tables set further back emwhere you can see the action but kind of far away from actual stage. Then a third tier (level where bar is) that's good for people just hanging with their group or talking to dancers. As a solo forst time visitor, I was kind of lost as to where to sit, basically you gotta get up and rush the stage if a girl you're interested in hops up there. Kind of feel awkward being right at the stage if you're not throwing money at the girl up there kind of deal. I found myself hopping back and forth between two sets of tables and chairs which wasn't really an issue since it was pretty quite, but if it's busy in there you might have a hard time getting close to the stage show.
