Don't go out of your way

Little D’s is about a block away and across the street from the old Danny’s Downtown in a sketchy looking area of Jackson on South West Street. Danny’s Downtown closed a few years ago after it lost a racial discrimination lawsuit filed by AA dancers and had a $3M judgment entered against it. The AA dancers alleged Danny’s charged them higher fees in order to force them to work at Black Diamonds, the black sister club to Danny’s Downtown, under poorer conditions, including being required to allow customers to grope them. I know, shocking.

So apparently what the owner of the clubs did was to close both Danny’s Downtown and Black Diamonds, reincorporate and re-open Danny’s as Little D’s in the old Black Diamonds building. So the plaintiffs put two clubs out of business and will probably never collect on their judgment.

But I digress. On to the review: There is free parking in a small lot on the side of the building. Arrived after 9 PM on a Tuesday. Cover charge was $18, but included two drinks. Military ID will get you an $8 discount on the cover.
