Almost empty on a Saturday night, but found some talent in the end

Had been to this place once or twice before, back when a cold was just a cold, so passing through town on a weekend back in November, I decided to check it out again. The place is about 10 mins from downtown, but basically in an industrial park area. I arrived around 10:30 at night by cab, and there weren't many cars in the parking lot. The club looks like a converted warehouse - a one-story, very long building. Corrugated metal everywhere. You walk in the door, pay your cover, and step into the main area, which has 2 stages, but only one was in use - the other one had what looked like couches and old signs on it. All around the room are square tables and really horrible metal chairs, as other reviews have said. They are the most uncomfortable things I've ever sat in anywhere, not just at a club. I bet they were rejected from a worksite or food court so the place got 'em for free. There's an area to the left of the stage, curtained off for private dances, and to the left all the way in the back there are 3-4 stairs up to what seem like some rooms for even more private dances.

When I got there, I was surprised to see like 2 guys in the whole place, and one girl dancing. At 10:30. On a Saturday night. But the twist to this place, that I'd never heard of before, is the bar that's a "separate" place, but really isn't. The club itself seems to be a no alcohol spot, though the club description here says its byob. But the waitress told me to walk "out" the front door and try the sports bar. Built onto the front of the building is a smaller "room" that's almost like an attached (very big) shed with booths and a long bar, over which there are a couple of TVs. On the other side of the bar and wall of drinks is a covered outdoor patio, that's been built on a section of the parking lot. So here I sat down and had a couple of drinks. The drinks were cheap - a rum and ginger ale was like $10 I think, so I stayed and watched a basketball game for a while. The bartender was ok looking but friendly, and there were 2 girls and one customer hanging out. It sounded like the custy was a regular and knew the girls, and they were taking a break from dancing.

I finished my drink and headed back into the club. Didn't need a stamp or anything since there was almost no one there. This time, there were like 5 dudes, probably in their 60s, or 70s who looked like they had just gotten off work on a construction job, all sitting around a couple of the tables pushed together. And there was one other custy, a younger guy sitting by himself near a corner.
