Attitude Adjustment

After a bad day of work I decided to stop in for some attitude improvement. There’s no cover in the afternoon. The place is huge, but was pretty empty when I arrived. About ten guys and the same number of dancers. Sat at the bar and ordered a domestic beer. It was $7 with a tip.

Most of the dancers seemed to be with regulars. A few were getting dances, but most were just talking. A dancer did come up to me and struck up a conversation. She was about 30, but in very good shape. She told me that business was slow and she was hoping it would improve for the golf season. Asked if I wanted a dance and off we went to the dance room. She waited for the next song, which I appreciated. The dance was solid, but little mileage since the bouncer walked by a couple of times. I decided to get another in hopes that things would improve and it didn’t. Gave her $80 and parted ways. Decided to try another dancer to see if things improved. Good looking girl about 20. Conversations were not her strong point. Mileage was about the same as the first dancer. After two, I stopped.

My visit was in the afternoon, so I have no idea of what it is like at night. The dancers complained about the lack of business and I wondered if the $40 a dance was the problem. Unless the golf season improves business, I don’t see how they will get dancers and stay in business.
