Steady, solid, reliable
Mario's is a bit of a staple for me when I travel, and this trip reinforced that decision. The place can vary wildly depending on day and time, but the late afternoon vibe is a nice mix of "active enough" to not be depressing while easily being able to get the attention of whomever you want. Perhaps 8-10 patrons which roughly matched the number of dancers. The bartender is very nice, quick, and courteous. No real frills here, but no stupid nonsense either, which I view as a net-win.
The club has been described a million times. Nondescript, small bar with a couple TV's on your right as you come in. U-shaped dancer bar that is the centerpiece of the room on your left. Well lit; not very dark and a welcoming vibe. Beyond the bar is the table area with suspect couches, almost a sports-bar feel because of all the TV's and generally light action.
Bud Light was $6; lap dances are $25 each and not short songs like you may get elsewhere. VIP has a crazy variance in all directions - I steer clear and there's a huge flashing red light above "YMMV" there.
