looks like things are going good after covid
I hadn’t been there in 3 years because of covid. I used to go there once or twice a year when I took a 3 hour drive to visit cousins nearby. So I was anxious to see how it was nowadays since from the reviews it sounded pretty dead at the height of the pandemic. I went there on Friday night from 11pm to 2am when it closes.
In general it hasn’t changed much from my earlier visits of the past 13 years. There’s plenty of parking because it’s in a large strip mall near the ABE regional airport. There’s lots of motels nearby because it’s near some major highways. When you walk in you’re greeted by two bouncers who direct you to the girl collecting a $10 cover. In the past she’d give you change in $2 bills but they don’t do that now. She also scans your ID. There was an ATM near the entrance and I remember there was a high fee and a low limit for each transaction but I didn’t use it this time. There’s a bar girl as you enter trying to sell you your first drink. There was also a table of snacks there. I didn’t check out the kitchen menu this time but I had good meals in the past. The quesadillas were always good. But you can have a big dinner if you’re hanging out with your special girl in the VIP sections.
The layout is still the same. It’s a large high-ceilinged hall with a bar on the left as you enter and another bar on the opposite side. There’s a large stage in the center with a pole that goes way up to the rafters and two satellite stages with smaller poles ringing them. The room in the back has 15-20 couch-booths that are semi-private (panels separating them but no curtains in front). There are two VIP raised seating areas in back of the satellite stages with tables where you can have your dinner. Opposite the couch-booth room is where the VIP rooms are. They have big couches and tables and large screen TVs, and a waitress who will bring you strawberries to go with your champagne. The main stage has chairs around the edge where you can sit to get a close look and leave tips. The main floor has lots of tables surrounding the stage that are served by attentive waitresses. There are also some large screen TVs around the room showing sports. The men’s room is fairly big with an attendant handing out paper towels.
