Hard to know if the club is back to what it once was

I had not been here since before the pandemic, so I was totally unsure of what to expect when I returned. Overall, not much seems to have changed...but I was basically on an intel visit and felt strangely unsuccessful when I left after one dance. SR-Van Nuys has always has always thrived on regulars with money to spend coming from affluent areas of the valley, south of the club itself. I've heard a dancer describe a famous film producer who comes in often and will tip dancers a grand, but is a pain to deal with. This club relies on that customer, as opposed to high volume. So, no gangsters or that kind of vibe, but bring a full wallet.

Used to be a big fan of this place. That was not only before covid...it was before they got raided. Probably five years ago at this point. Back then, extras were the norm, so the high dance prices were acceptable. Once I even got a 3-song special in the fireplace room, after which the dancer asked the bouncer to get her some tissues to clean herself, and he was totally complicit, like, of course he knew what was going on. But then the raid, and they switched the couches in the fireplace room where you could basically see them all (instead of facing the opposite wall, totally blocked). I stopped going after a few boring visits.

Club layout: same as ever. Smallish room, main stage, lenghty bar along back of room, a few small booths next to it, doorway leading into dark fireplace room near the bar, and semi-hidden lapdance booths along the sides. VIP dances are also along the side of the main room, definitely hidden enough for certain shenanigans, but also not totally private.
