Better than the hockey game

Friday afternoon December 30, 2022 I went to an NHL game at Honda Center. Not a very interesting game, Nashville beat Anaheim 6-1. After the game I went to Taboo from about 5:30 to 6:30. The club is located in an industrial area at the end of a dead end street right next to the 91 (Riverside) freeway . Parking spaces next to the club and along the street. The club only takes up about a third of the building it’s in and there was an open garage door into the rest of the building and one could see cars parked inside. Perhaps valet for the employees? There was a board by the entrance desk that looked like one used to hang car keys for a valet setup,

Cover at this time was $10 and I changed a 20 for 1’s. No security stuff. Down a hallway and you enter the main room. On the left is the DJ space (the DJ was using a laptop) followed by the juice bar. Away from the left is the elevated square stage with one pole. There are about 15 chairs at the tip rail on three sides of the stage, 15 small tables and chairs in the middle of the room and 15 small tables at bench seats against the walls on three sides. Not an especially large room. Nor was the lighting particularly fancy but the overall lighting was enough so one could easily see the dancers, not super dark like some places. There were 2 TV screens showing sports. I sat down and the waitress came over and I ordered a generic bottle of water for $5. Drink purchase did not seem to be required.

Not very busy at this time, only about 6 customers and about 8 dancers. Dancers remarked that it’s usually more busy than this on Fridays, possibly so near to New Years was holding down attendance. There was a dancer on the stage only occasionally. They did two song sets, first topless and at least the dancer who I saw her full performance (she was one who I later did a lap with) got nude in the second song. Dancers were attentive in approaching customers. Dancers seemed generally in good shape, mostly white and Latina.
