A lesson for the ages

First time to a strip club, but with an experienced friend. After paying the cover and the drinks+tips, which amounted to ~$20, we sat in the corner and started getting a feel of the vibe of the club. After a while, we were approached by a pair of girls who were looking for dances. The dances were ~$35. My friend liked his so he danced for a while, but I opted to watch a bit more. Eventually I got approached by a girl I liked, and did the private dance, and then spent the money (~$180) to get into the 'cabana". My friend told me to negotiate first, but as a newbie I just went with the flow. I should have negotiated, because it was essentially a continuation of what the $35 dance was. Learn from me, fellas!
