McYes
Since my El Paso has become a sad shadow of its former self, I was glad to have an opportunity to visit the DFW MetroPlex. A buddy shared some deets on a few clubs that he had gleaned from this site, and since it was beneficial to me, I decided to come on here and share, too. I hit up two clubs, based on his info: Chicas Locas and Lipstick. My choices were based on the fact that I seek a certain outcome from club visits, but I do have some standards. (That ruled out reportedly nice clubs like The Men's Club and Baby Dolls, since he said I wouldn't get the desired activities; and that ruled out Chicas Bonitas, since supposedly it is beneath any kind of standards. He could have been over-stating things, but I did not take the time to discover for myself.)
This club, Lipstick, was in a small "strip-mall" kind of block on a street called Harry Hines, which seemed like "the district." Parking was safe, though, and there was enough on the day I visited. Seems like it wouldn't handle a huge crowd, and the Boulevard didn't seem to have a lot of nearby parking options. The club entrance looked like maybe this was once kind of fancy. It is not currently fancy, but it wasn't gross. The nice chick at the entry desk asked if I wanted VIP for $30 entry fee, and I did. I think the standard entry fee is $10.
There was one big stage and two little stages. The big stage was off to itself, and the little stages were at either end of the bar, which was in the middle of the club. The little stages seemed to be at an awkward height, but nobody danced on them while I was there, anyway. Actually, it was only occasionally that a dancer would get on the main stage, either. Most of the dancers were sitting around chatting in Spanish.
In fact, I only met one dancer whose primary language was English. "Marlene" (surely she gave me a fake stage name, so let's just call her "M") said that her English language was her "superpower," and helped her get the most private dances. I came to believe that something else accounted for the fact that she got the most private dances; she was very open-minded. Her bestie, "Chrissy" (let's just call her "C") was also fun, and those two seemed like a team... M&C. Actually, that looks like "Mc," so they might go by "McYes." The other dancers were also nice, but most needed a Translator App to communicate with this non-Spanish-speaking dude. The things every dancer knew how to say were limited to "Dance?" "Drink?" "Good time..."
But McYes made the visit memorable enough, so even though Lipstick is nothing like the clubs I used to love in El Paso (which are sadly history, at least in terms of activity), I was glad I visited this place. The other club -- Chicas Locas -- did not merit any favorable feedback, so I probably won't bother submitting a review for it.
