Weird Layout - Dance Club and Strip Club all in one

Located in the North Beach area of San Francisco - commercial neighborhood with lots of bars and restaurants. The area is not nice but not scary as well - one added plus is that there are 4 or 5 other strip clubs within an easy walking distance. I parked on the street for free about a block away. Weekends parking can be hard and you may need to use a pay lot.

The club set up is bizarre. On the ground floor there is a full nightclub/danceclub that is only open on weekend evenings. There is a separate stairway to the upstairs strip club (open every night) that is smallish and overlooks the nightclub downstairs. Apparently they get some people in the nightclub come up to the strip club so there is a synergy there. Practically, this does not seem to work well as I have considered coming to the strip club on a weekend but there is a line with dozens of people waiting to get into the dance club and the big crowd made me just turn away.

Not a problem for the Wednesday evening that I visited (about 11 pm) - bouncer checked my ID, went up to pay my $15 cover, and grabbed a seat - all no problem. Topless club with full bar - beers about $10 each, but no drink requirement. Waitresses and the staff were friendly, not too pushy. Very quiet - just a few other customers and maybe about 5 dancers without a girl on stage at all times. TV's with sports games were on.
