Slow, rainy afternoon

I arrived in the rain about 3 pm on a Tuesday afternoon. The club is easy to find and has a big lot. It had a sign about Valet, but there was no valet in sight and all the cars were parked near the front door. The entry way is big and the club is to the right. No person in the entry either. All the people in the club are sitting around the bar. I think 4 patrons and about 6 dancers. I got a beer, I think it was $5 or $6 which is good. The bartender was pleasant and efficient. She was singing to the music also.

The club itself is very big. A big bar (rectangular I think) was in front as you entered. The area for dances was to the right.The stage was large and to the left, but no one was dancing and no one sitting on the floor at all. There is also an upstairs, but I never got there. The club looked decent to me, nicer than the Charlotte clubs. The benches in the dance area were a bit worn.

I sat down, got a beer immediately and had a dancer next to me in seconds. The dancers were all pretty young, white and AA as far as I could tell, but not positive. I walked by at least 3 who did not even acknowledge my presence, but then an AA dancer showed up as I sat. She was 28, normal build, but pleasant and very smiley. She was telling me how healthy she was (worked out, no drinking) while she ate candy for lunch. Hmmm.
