Scarlett’s: always a safe choice

Stopped in Scarlett’s before 8pm on a recent Friday and entered without any cover. Parking lot is better lit than almost any you will find. Club is very clean, with a large spacious modern bar. Impressive lighting and sound system is appreciated after the remodeling in recent years, although music and bass sounds can get a little too loud if you sit too close to the speakers later at night. Bartender was very attentive.

I made it in time for the happy hour, and drinks were about $3 from 5-7p. Having avoided cover by coming early and then getting the drink special, my investment was minimal, yet I was very comfortable in a clean, well-maintained modern club. Although day shift was not very busy, it was also not dead. There were about 8 dancers of all ages and body types. Customers numbered about 15-20 initially, but doubled by 9pm, then 80 customers by 11pm. I have had very good large 15” pizzas here with excellent thin crust for $18, but I was not hungry this night.

Dancers were friendly, and several came over to talk, including a very toned slim brunette about 20 years old with a beautiful face. No real pressure from the dancers initially, as they were willing to share some time for a drink and some stage tipping. Dancers ranged from 18 to 30s in age, from slim to normal in build, some very toned and fit, with a good mix for almost anyone. Dance option came up in discussion for $50/song. Never did dances this night as my favorite slim blonde was not in tonight. Dance mileage here varies from very bland to very worthwhile, depending on the girl and how well you know each other. Memorable dances are a bit rarer here than at other local clubs, but they are possible.

Overall, Scarlett’s is a clean, safe club with potential. The overall dancer mix is varied, with a handful of 8s and 9s if you hit a good night and stay till about 1am when dancer number peaks with probably close to 50 dancers. Dancers do not have a set schedule here, so it can be hit or miss. For me, my favorite was missing this night, but I am always hopeful to run into an old favorite or new friend.
