Daily Planet vibes and update re: dancer schedules

This review is for a visit in late October. First off, I love this place and I can't even explain why exactly. It's weird and quirky and laid back and friendly. I guess a welcome change from other clubs, though this is primarily a bar.

Boring stuff: it is on a very skinny residential but woodsy road. Careful of oncoming traffic in a couple of spots because it is one lane, essentially. Lot is gravel and across from the bar. Bar is a log home style, nice outdoor deck that was redone. You walk in and the bathrooms are to the right, pool table ahead, and the bar and some seating to the left. The very small stage is behind the bar. Beers are reasonable, I believe it was 4.75 for a draft.

I hadn't been to the Planet since Covid but I was near enough in the area for work and stopped in for a beer. Walked in around 5 and saw Cindy and Rosanna/e, both 60+/-, both trim and still attractive but they are 60. I didn't recognize the bartender but she was friendly and nice, didn't catch her name. I had a beer and chatted with Cindy. She's still holding up well for her age and she's just plain sweet. Around 6, Rosanna came to say hi and mentioned that the new operation is no dancers after 6pm. I didn't see that mentioned in the other recent reviews, so I figured it was worth writing this one. She asked if I felt like a quick dance. I hadn't planned on it but what the hell. Asked her what the going rate was and she said "Just whatever you feel like is fine". Seriously, this place is different. Honestly, it was more of a chat and catch up and it was nice to talk to her. The setup is similar, curtained booths to the left of the bar, at least one of them (the only one I've ever been into) still has a window.
