Decent way to end the night in Greektown
Stopped by after the casino last Friday night. I've been in there many times before, but it has been about a year. I could tell from the doorway that they were slow, because they let us in without paying cover like we normally have to, and they didn't care that we had hoodies on. We walked in the doorway and I immediately see the stage to my front left, where there were no dancers. I thought "Oh great, its going to be that slow that they don't even have anyone on stage, that must be why we didn't have to pay to get in". The long bar to the right did have a decent amount of seats taken up by customers and dancers. I'd say at least half the seats were taken, and the bar is pretty long. But no one was sitting anywhere else in the club. I walked up to the bar to grab a drink ($12? jack and coke I believe) and some singles and took a seat by the stage with my buddy.
Just after sitting down, a dancer did end up getting on the stage, and the stage was never empty for more than a minute at a time after that. You could tell most of the dancers were bored due to the lack of customers. One by one they would come by and talk for a minute then ask if we were interested in dances. The girls(about 8-10 working) were a variety of 3's to 7's. I ended up getting a dance with a couple girls. Each dance was $20, and some girls wanted a minimum of a few songs which I was fine with. Dances are in an open area in the back of the club that everyone can see. Only chairs just inches apart separate you from where another customer could be getting a dance. With it being so slow, there was only ever one or two dances going on at a time, and a few chairs away. But there is no privacy, which is common downtown. Over all the dances were pretty good, the dancers were pretty into it.
Left having a fun night, because I knew what to expect going in. I only stop by Bouzouki if I'm in the area because I don't like the over crowding at Legends down the street, plus it is much pricier there. I mostly stick to the western suburb clubs, but I don't mind stopping by Bouzouki after the casino or Greektown bars. If you are in a scenario like I was, Bouzouki is not a bad time, but if you are looking for much more fun and can get out to the suburbs, go to Flight Club, Silver Cricket, or Landing Strip.
