Broken dreams - Review of Electric Blue Cafe • 62 Merrow Rd Tolland, CT 06084

I went to electric blue with my friends on a Saturday night. My first time there. I would say we were a bit late -it was already 11:00pm. Paid the cover and went right in. A circular bar area, and the pole dancing at the other end. Bar has a pretty decent selection of drinks. The bar tenders were absolutely busy, but noticed us fast enough and gave us what we asked for. I got a beer for 7 dollars. Not bad. It was crowded near the bar, but absolutely nobody was there near the pole dancers. So we thought pole dancing is not the scene here and went on to sit on individual seats eyeing somebody to come to us. After waiting for one an hour and being ignored by all the girls, we went and sat at the pole dancing stage. The dancer immediately came to our side as there were absolutely nobody else. Great body and nice moves. Tipped her enough and she was happy to do some tricks for us. By the time she stopped dancing I was ready to go for a dance with her. Assumed she will come to us straight. But no, she immediately went to a guy sitting near the bar. We again trying to get attention of the girls. But nobody came to us apart from a lady who is in her late 30s. Not my type and I told her so. She seem to have difficulty in speaking in English. Waited for another half an hour and we finally called it a day. A very disappointing day indeed. Note to self: Never go to electric blue on a Saturday night.
