I visited Pure Gold in Rancho Cordova on Wednesday October 19, 2022 between about 9:30 to 10:30 pm. Club is on the west side of Sunrise Blvd about a mile south of Folsom Blvd and the US50 freeway. There is a sign for the club by the street. It’s in a mostly commercial area. You enter through a common entrance with the adult store right next to it and pay the cover, $20 at this time, to the cashier of the adult store who gives you a ticket to enter the club. No security stuff. The club itself is quite small. A rectangular room with a stage thrusts out from one end with about 10 seats at the tip rail and one pole. There is also a very small stage with pole near the other end of the room. Small couches and tables fill most to the rest of the room. The juice bar is just a service bar along the right side of the room. There were no waitresses. A small nod to Halloween was a jack-o-lantern in one corner of the stage.

There were only about 5 customers and maybe 6 or 7 dancers. The dancers were generally decent looking, ages probably 20’s up to 40, in good shape, mostly white, one oriental, no AA. They kept a dancer of stage most of the time with the usual three song sets. Signs on the back of the stage stated that customers seated at the tip rail were required to tip at least $1 per song.

As I entered I was set upon by a pair of dancers who offered to show me around and get me to go for a dual dance. I resisted this and instead sat down with one of the pair, one of the younger white ones. Prices were discussed. A super high price ( like $600 for an hour) for some fancy room was mentioned but I declined. Regular price was $40 per song to the dancer plus $5 to the club. She also quoted $160 for 15 minutes which seemed high but I went with it anyway. There are several sets of lap dance booths, the largest grouping is behind the service bar. They are the usual 3-sided booth with bench seat but do have a thin curtain covering the fourth side. There are a lot of booths for such a small club. Paid the dancer and she puts $5 into a machine (which apparently only takes $5 bills so she had to go get change). When you enter the booth lights are on, then turn to low when the money is inserted then go bright again when the time is up. The mileage of her dance was OK, but seemed to last nowhere near 15 minutes.
