Ruined by another guy
Stopped in at Bristol on a Sunday afternoon. Packers were on and there were a handful of people at the bar and about five dancers that I saw while I was there. As previously described this is a towny style bar with a couple of stages, but I've only ever seen onw in use. While I was there only one girl, a cute black dancer took a turn on the stage. Since everyone was watching the game and all the other girls were hanging onto guys at the bars, I went and tipped after buying a beer that cost about 6 or 7 bucks. She was friendly and happy to have someone paying attention. After her set I asked for a 20 buck dance. We went backand she gave a good no-nonsense dance with a good grind. Good enough that I asked to do a 100 buck VIP. The backroom setup is weird. They have four or five individual booths with single barcalounger type chairs that the dances happen in and then a larger room with two couches across from each other where the VIPs usually happen. We moved to the couch room since we were the only ones back there and then five minutes into our time another dancer walked back with a guy for a regular per-song dance and asked where he wanted to go. He looked at all the empty rooms and then said, Can we go on a couch? Really dude? Having another guy literally playing footsie with me ruined any vibe we had going and he stayed for three songs, so we never got the vibe back. The girl I was with was visibly frustrated to as all the other rooms were empty. When the time was up, I cut my losses, left a tip and left.
One other thing I noticed. a few months ago there were some local news reports that the local sheriff was getting some license plate scanning cameras to deploy around the county. In the reports they specifically mentioned that they might install them near Bristol after the trouble the bar had a couple years ago with morons and late night shootings in the parking lot. When I arrived I noticed those cameras have been installed in three places along the intersection that the club sits. There is no way to get into the Bristol parking lot without passing them and having Big Brother take note of your arrival at the joint. So if you are someone who wants your visits to be more under the radar and don't want to get a call from a deputy if trouble goes down in the area, be aware that they are now there and watching.
