A First-Timer's Review of HK
This is my first SC review on TUSCL. That being said, I've been to a few SCs in the Los Angeles / COI area alongside the Palomino in Las Vegas, so I feel that I have some basis for comparison. I also have been lurking on TUSCL for some time, so I figured this was as good of a time to submit a review as any.
This is part 1 of 4 club reviews for SCs I visited in Tijuana. I visited the HK, Chicago Club, Adelita Bar, and Bar Tropico. These four reviews are part of a larger "Beginner's Tijuana Mongering guide" coming soon to a TJ Mongers discussion board near you. This is a review meant for prospecting Tijuana first-timers, so expect more detail than usual.
This was my first time visiting HK, and my first time visiting Tijuana (If you want more details, check out the guide). I stayed at Hotel Cascadas on September 4, the Sunday before Labor Day. I'm not sure what I was expecting when entering HK, but I was not prepared.
What I have to say first is that every time you enter the SC, you get pat down and walk through a metal detector. Annoying, but nothing to get mad over. The staff are very nice, and recognize that it is annoying for you. Toward the end of my visit, the staff recognized me by face and offered to let me through without the pat down, but I went through with it anyways. All of the staff spoke English, or at least the next dude over spoke English, so communication was easy.
The club layout can be pretty confusing upon first entry, so I got you. When you enter, it is the main showroom on the first floor. There's a bar to your left with a couple of poles and a stage in the center of the room. To your right are some chairs and a staircase upwards. You continue down the showroom and there will be a ramp that effectively splits the club in half. At the ramp, there is a staircase to the right that goes up to the second floor. Many girls loiter here, so feel free to talk to them if you're inclined. Past the ramp is the back half of the showroom. Here there's a bar on the right, a stage in the center, and chairs to the left. This stage is where the less usual shows take place, like the shaving cream show and lesbian dildo fucking (Don't ask me, cause I wasn't really paying attention to these). In both halves of the main showroom / first floor, there's a door on the left that takes you to another area - Las Chevalas Bar. Here it is much quieter and less crowded, but also there's less attention. Allegedly all of the girls have to spend their first hour in this area before they can enter the main showroom. I don't really get it, but it's a nice vestige from the crowded main room. When I was sitting in the main showroom, I was harassed by meseros and girls approached me. In Las Chevalas, there were no meseros and no girls approached me (although there were girls loitering there too, so you can probably approach them). When you go up to the second floor, there are many more chairs that look down onto the main show floor. There seemed to be fewer meseros lurking here, but I'm sure you'll get harassed nonetheless. Notably, there is a hidden bar on the second floor if you pass all of the stairs heading towards the main entrance to HK (If you take the first staircase when you enter the show floor and immediately U-turn, it's there). If you need to catch a drink or cash out some 100s, I recommend you do it here - no one seems to know about this bar except the meseros. This is also apparently the only place you can get a Pina Colada in HK (I didn't write the price of the drink in my notes, but I think it was $7), which means it's my #1 spot. There is a staircase in the middle (the same staircase next to the ramp in the middle) that leads up to the third floor. I've been told that's the dressing room, but also I've read that it's open on busy nights, so IDK what's going on. Again, girls loiter around this staircase if you're on the hunt. I'm sure there's a bathroom somewhere, but I didn't see it. Just ask a mesero - they'll be glad to help you.
