Diamond in the rough, decent club, could be fun on the right night.

It has been maybe 2 decades since I visited Sauget clubs. Decided to hit up Diamond Cabaret on a quiet Tuesday night. Club is directly off Hwy 3 in Sauget, just off the interstates in a safer industrial part of the East St Louis (ESL) area. Sister Club Country Rock Cabaret is nearby but a long walk, easier to drive. Admission gets you into both clubs.

Cover this night was $17, which felt a little high for a Tuesday but these clubs need to cover their cost. Quick walk through a metal detector and I was in the club. The club is probably the most upscale club that I have been in the ESL area. Nothing super fancy but done very well. There is one very large stage that is right in front of you and slightly sunken in from where you walk in. To your right is a raised VIP area. To your left is a very large L shaped bar. The DJ booth and what appear to be the private dance room are behind the stage. There was a members only are off to the right, the 2 best looking dancers spent their time in that area other than when they were on stage.
