sinclair's Review
I went to Scarlett O’Hara’s on a Friday night around 20:15. There is a limited amount of parking at the shopping plaza where the strip club is located. There is an overflow lot across the street just north of the Comfort Inn. The cover charge is $7 on Friday and Saturday. On Sunday through Thursday, the cover charge is just $5. The door girl scans your ID in a machine. Looking from the entrance to your right is the main stage. It is a rectangle with a runway protruding off of it, so it is in the shape of a “T”. The stage has a lone spinning pole. The back right corner of the room is where the men’s room is located. The back wall has two community couch rooms for private dances. The back left corner of the floorplan has three VIP rooms for longer private dance sessions. The left wall is where the bar is located. There are eight video slot machines and a pool table on the left side of the floorplan. A triangular secondary stage with one pole is along the front wall. The secondary stage was not used even on a busy night. There are rolling barrel chairs at the main stage, but high top tables with barstools and padded chairs with just backs make up the regular seating area. You have to go outside to smoke and vape. Sincweisers were $5. Grain Belts were $5. The bar has four beers on tap: Bud Light, Miller Lite, Coors Light, and some kind of craft beer. The only food offered is bar pizzas for $15. The ATM has a maximum withdrawal of $300 and a $5 fee per transaction.
There were seventeen dancers working. Dancers do three song sets on stage. Dancers get topless but wear pasties over their nipples. The only stage contact is Stevies, and some dancers don’t give any contact at all. The club has a cornucopia of body types and ethnicities for South Dakota. I was actually surprised there were not more African women working here. Whenever I hit strip clubs within a couple hundred miles of Sioux Falls, I seem to run into a lot of first or second generation African women who are from Sioux Falls. I think a lot of African immigrants came to Sioux Falls to work at the pork plant. I do not recall running into this many Russian dancers since I went to The Northern in Fargo, North Dakota. Scarlett O’Hara’s does weekly contracts with traveling dancers similar to The Northern.
