Henry’s for the Win...Today

This review is for Henry the VIII Lounge, but at the outset I’m going to mention a little about Bogart’s, too, which might be helpful for anyone not familiar with the two. If you want, you can just skip down a bit to the Review of Henry’s.

It’s easy to bounce between Bogart’s and Henry the VIII, which both have the same owner and are just a few minutes’ drive from one another. If you’re not satisfied with one, on your way out just ask for a free pass for the other and save yourself the $5.00 cover there.

Both places are on the lower end of the Detroit-area clubs, both in “ambience” and quality of the dancers, but that’s fine with me. The two are similar in many ways and different in a few others, but to me they seem to be identical in one respect: they are both *really* hit-or-miss depending on who’s working at any given time. I have had great luck at each, but have also struck out at each.
