Silver Criket Fun

I made a brief stop at this club early Saturday afternoon on a quick pass through town (four girls working, none to my liking) and, on my way back through town, on a Wednesday evening from about 8:15-9:30. Free parking in a paved, lighted, and fenced-in lot at the back of the building. If you have never been here before, it’s important to know that although it has an address on Michigan Avenue, the parking lot *and the entrance to the club* are around back, so you must enter from Kean Street, which runs parallel to Michigan Avenue, one block south. Your GPS may not tell you that, and your Uber driver might not know that, either.

No cover in the afternoon; evening cover was $10. No security or ID check either time. Bottled water (my drink of choice) was $7 plus tip. This is a relatively small club, nicely appointed, with a decent-enough bathroom (for those who care about such things). Seating is available at the bar, at low tables around the room, and at raised booths for which there is a $20 charge. I usually sit at the bar, but on Wednesday evening it was full, so I grabbed a seat at one of the few low tables that was still free.

There is one stage, with pretty sophisticated lighting, and either had a smoke/mist machine or there was residual vape “smoke” in the air, which obscured the view more than I would have liked. A DJ played rap music and announced the girls both as they came off the stage and the next one came on. I saw 10-15 dancers, maybe 70/30 Black/White, and all seemed pretty attractive, though in the low-lighting-through-the-mist, it’s not that easy to tell – even up close (LOL). Some of the girls, while not dancing, were clustered in booths or at tables with customers. The others didn’t really circulate much, but were quite friendly and happy to chat if you approached them.
