Continues to go downhill

I can't remember the name of the day manager, he's a fat Black guy with glasses, but he's a total a-hole and the club vibe is definitely dictated by him. He generally sits at the side bar watching like a hawk to ensure that all guys who enter immediately get hit with 1) "can I offer you a table?", 2) "what are you drinking", 3) (after 3 mins of being in the club) "we have a two-drink minimum" and 4) (while you're on your first drink) "you have to order a second drink".

I moved to Austin about a decade ago and I get that the stripping industry has been disrupted between Covid, the rise of OnlyFans, inflation and more, but generally the Austin strip club scene has really taken a turn for the worse. Yellow Rose used to be up there with P10 (original, not the Highland location) in terms of good looking dancers available and on the floor as early as opening (e.g. there was the ridiculous Asian named Maui who was the embodiment of a steal - GREAT body, decent face and incredible mileage with no upsell), waitresses that checked in with you vs. holding you accountable for the drink minimum and an easy-going management team. Not anymore.

On this visit, there were about four girls on the floor and three waitresses waiting by the walkway entrance. What? Nearly a 1:1 ratio. And as soon as you enter, they're in your face about grabbing a table. No thanks, I'm here for dances and not breaking the bank. Once I saddled up to the bar, I asked the bartender for a drink, but circled back to the front to ask the attendant how many girls were working. She said 5, but with more on the way in. They used to have a chiron that showed all of the girls who were working on their TVs, have no idea why they took that away. I'm used to strip clubs functioning as neighborhood establishments. It's the best way to build regular clientele. If I don't know who's working, why stay or even come back?
