Interesting time.
This visit was a bit unique. If you're more interested in what you can expect in general at this club and not so much what made this particular trip a bit different feel free to skip the first section.
I arrived at the Lake City Vu on a Saturday around 10pm. The building was about 1/3 full when I first got there but within a half hour it was standing room only. I've never seen this club reach this point even in the late 90's or early 2,000's When this club did a lot more business. The reason for it reaching this capacity was that around 200 Banditos rolled in on their motorcycles. Fortunately they were there to have a good time and caused zero issues, they were actually making it rain pretty good for the ladies on stage. It made it pretty hard getting attention for the rest of us PL though lol. On my way out of the club I noticed they had 2 club members parked at the door along with the club bouncer, around 4-5 watching their bikes, 2 more watching the parking lot entrance, and 2 more on the corner of Lake City Way I'm guessing to watch out for rival clubs that fortunately never showed up, wasn't in the mood to get caught in the middle of a biker brawl.
General club details: $22 cover after 7pm, $17 cover before. Staff is mostly friendly though if you actually want your watered down soda the waitresses are hit and miss. The club itself isn't anything fancy but it wont have you questioning if your up to date on your tetanus shot either. Medium size club that almost always has seating available whether you want to sit at the stage or in the back dark corner. On this Saturday night the club was not running the "you want to buy the lady a drink" hustle every time a dancer would sit with you like the Vu clubs sometimes do. Oh and for those out of towners there's no booze and stage shows are topless/fully nude depending on the dancer.
