My best visit ever

I've been going to Shimmers off and on for many years. I think most of the reviews on this site for this club are consistent with my observations. Basically (1) the dancers' appearances are less than top notch compared with the "fancy" clubs in town (this comment is as a group--there certainly are some great looking women from time to time) and (2) dance prices are quite reasonable (again compared with other Portland clubs) and (3) personal services tend to be as high as legally possible and combined with the pricing make for some of the best value in town.

On a recent visit, I had an exceptional time. There were a handful of dancers working and I sat at the rack for most of them. Of these, all but one asked me about a dance at the end of their set. The other one was friendly but never asked. Prices seemed to range from $20 to $35 per song depending on the dancer and level of nudity. I wasn't in a hurry so I decided to chill for a while on one of the chairs away from the stage. Before long, the dancer who hadn't asked me about a dance joined me and we chatted. Her hands were wandering a little. Okay, a lot. Slowly but surely they worked their way up my shorts and I don't mean on top of them. Of course, I eventually got excited and she asked about a dance so I thought I'd give it a go.

In the private dance room (well, not totally private but it's hard for people outside to see what's going on), she proceeded to give me several dances just like the preview I had experienced. And quite vigorously. The interaction was high and the camera never definitively saw anything illegal though it should have been pretty obvious what was happening. She was very friendly and never pushed for any more dances. After a few songs (always cut short in this club) I was finished and paid her. I would love to repeat this experience often if I could.
