UFC weekend

Last minute trip (and also a short-one, just one night) to Vegas for UFC. After the fight we gambled at Aria and at around midnight my friend asked the blackjack dealer what the best club in Vegas was. Figured we'd get a honest reply since he wasn't getting a kickback from the club. Told us the Rhino was still the club to go. I called over and asked for a car pickup for a group of 4. Was told they were backed up because it was very busy and it would be at least an hour wait. The woman also mentioned they no longer waive cover charge. Said she could expedite pickup and comp our cover if we bought a bottle. Hmmmm, $600 bottle marked up from $20 or $15 for an uber. We opted for the latter.

Was expecting a long line when we arrived but that wasn't the case. Bouncer wanded us and scanned our IDs. Cover was a weird amount. $40ish and change. Can't they just make it an even number? Hadn't been here in years. Last time was when they were in the middle of a remodel but I recall a lot of the dancers being top-shelf. I guess most of the dancers moved to a different club or have found other revenue streams. Anyway, paid an employee $40 to get us a table. It was a pretty good location except that every dancer that walked by stopped and sat down at our table and asked if we wanted dances. And when we said no they'd ask if we could buy them a drink. Ummm, same answer. A few were cool about it but others seemed annoyed.

From what I recall mixed drinks were $15 or $16. A tiny bottle of water goes for $7. Went to the cashier to get singles. Gave the girl a hundred and she said they charge a service fee to give you singles! WTH. Asked if rhino chips are still available. They are, along with a 15% service fee. Dancers also get charged the 15% too. So if they turn in 200 of rhino chips they get $170 back in cash. What a scam!
