Been to PL many times over the past two years. No particular schedule although only in the afternoons when it is on a to/from work flight path. Usually the number of customers is light, definitely less than 20 and sometimes with close to that may dancers working. One can be selective.
The vibe is relaxed with no obvious hustle. Dancers always circle the barstools after being on-stage. The rest of the dancers may be visiting the seating customers or hanging out talking to each other or using their phones. Getting the attention of anyone not working the stools but of interest is easy. So the atmosphere is relaxed in the afternoon.
The dancers vary from a few who should give it up to regular knockouts. So I have always found more than one worth a conversation as well as Washington tip when they stop by. They pick up on your lack-of-interest quickly and I never got pressured for additional tips. Being the understanding type, I will give up a Washington even to the ones I would never go back with.
This place has a reasonable size group of regulars and the dancers will know the newbies. Dress is casual so visiting dressed for work will stand out, putting you in the fatter wallet category. More on this dancer bucketing of clients in a future posting.
As has been said in many prior reviews, YMMV although I do not believe any full service occurs, at least not in the afternoon. Note some of the dancers I have chatted with indicate the $20 rooms are no different from the $30 rooms aside from the furniture. Save the ten spot for the service rendered.
