I’ve been to EI twice now and think it’s by far the best bang for your buck (no pun intended) in the DMV. It’s a good thing I don’t live closer or I’d be there every day. Here’s my two cents:

As you enter the club, you get a pat down from security and they take your phone and put it in an envelope and write your name on it. The cover is $20 and another $20 if you want to sit in the “VIP” chair which are just larger leather chairs around the perimeter. After 10:00 you have to pay another $20 to stay in those seats. The other seats are just cheap metal chairs. The bar is on the right and before you get into where the stage is. I bought a Bud Light and they’re $6.

Once you enter the club, the stage is in the middle and it’s really less of a “stage” since its the same level as the floor and just has a railing separating that and the other area.
