Is is better on top ( Up North)

I am a fequent club visitor in Charlotte. I had not been to L & L North for a few years. A manager at another club told me to try it out.

It is located on a busy commercial street, but I missed it once. It has a sign, but sits slightly off the road, the entrance is cramped and next to a large auto repair shop. There are a few parking spaces up front, and a many more in the rear. The problem is to get to the rear you have to navigate by a very large pot hole. I was here during the daytime and without any liquor in my system, so I survived that.

I enter the small entry way to a vestibule where a cover could be taken. No one was there to greet you, but the door into the main club was locked. I could see people inside, as there was a window where an employee could enter the area, but no one seemed to care. I eventually made enough racket by the window that the bartender came to let me in. She first scanned my ID (I don't like it, but know the MAL clubs don't use the data) and then buzzed me in.
