Worth the drive, but some strange etiquette

Decided to check out Polekatz after reading reviews of their Tuesday night special. It's definitely a haul, took a good 30+ min to get there from Downtown Chicago, but figured it was worth the cab ride rather than spending money on a meh experience at the downtown clubs.

The surrounding area is pretty suburban, seems safe enough, but I just got dropped off at the door. Valet was $5, pretty reasonable. ID check on entry but not much more, directed to door girl who asked for $10 cover. I signed up for the text alert for free cover off their website. Once through the door, I was immediately greeted by a bouncer who walked me over to the "VIP" section (seems they walk a lot of people in there) and shown a table. Waitress came by immediately to get my order.

One thing that's really nice about this place was the staff. Friendliest bouncers I've ever encountered! Feels like a lot of places they try to be as intimidating as possible (makes sense), but here they were really chill while still looking like they could throw you 20 yards out the door if needed.
