After 30 years Lace is Officially Dead
This is the original Lace. I have been going to this location over 30 years and it has grown to be a huge disappointment. The building is a stand alone structure with plenty of parking. Be warned if you are coming off the thruway onto 303 you can not make a left turn into the parking lot as there is a divider in the road. You have to go down the road and somehow make a u-turn although it is not advisable on this road. I made the right towards FedEx down the street and turned around there. Once inside there is a guy at the door that greets you. There was no cover during the afternoon but there is a 2 drink minimum and the drinks are way overpriced. It was $8 for a beer that is $6 at other strip clubs. The stage has two sections a square stage with a single pole surrounded by a bar and then a longer runway type with seating next to it. But only the main stage was in use. Also when you walk in there is a couch for lap dances immediately to the right of the door. I believe the dances are $30 although I did not have one. The bathrooms are by the front door and could use an update but at least they are clean. The place was sad, only two dancers got on stage while I was there the first was an older lady who you can tell has had a hard life. She appeared like she may have been hot 20 years ago but the years have not been kind. Honestly I felt embarrassed for her and wanted to leave but I was only halfway through my first drink. The second woman who went onstage was much younger a good looking Costa Rican gold digger in her 20’s. I think her name is Erika but I can’t remember. She is maybe a 6 on a scale from 1-10 but in contrast to the previous woman she was much better. After her set she came over and offered me a dance but I declined because there was another guy in the club to whom I had seen her give a dance to earlier and I saw when they finished the look of dissatisfaction on the other guys face. When I told her that I would not get a dance this audacious gold digger had the nerve to say if I could just gift her the $30. I literally almost laughed in her face. I finished my drink and said listen I am leaving at which point she then wants me to give her my unused singles.
The entire time I was there only three other clients were in the club, I don’t know how they stay in business. There was a young man who had the disappointing dance with the Costa Rican there was a older white guy who came in had a drink a immediately left and then there was this bearded creepy guy sitting at the end of the bar he kept going outside to smoke but when he was in the club he kept making some pretty noticeable groaning noises and I think he may have been pleasuring himself. This pervy atmosphere was not conducive to business so I left. Lace was fun 30 years ago, but unless they do something different, Lace is officially dead to me.
