Club Blaze May Update
Club Blaze has always been one of the most consistent clubs in the Atlanta metro area. Consistent in this case meaning not making any major changes as far as function and layout and having a great amount of business in terms of dancers and customers on days as well as nights. The club has a “if it’s not broke, don’t fix” type of operation which has contributed to their success. According to their website, this club has been in operation since 1991. During the 1990’s and early 2000’s the original name of the club was Blazin’ Saddles. So many customers and employees kept shortening the name in conversations to Blaze that the club eventually adopted it as its new official name.
The club is located just inside of Dekalb County in an industrial area of Moreland Avenue just one mile south of I-285. Because it is in Dekalb, this club does open on Sundays at 2:00. Free cover charge and parking until 7:00 in the evening. The parking lot used to be partially paved with gravel parking further away from the club. Now the entire lot is paved with asphalt. The parking lot is manned by armed security and they will routinely patrol the lot. Speaking of security, depending on who is doing the patdown, they will not let you in if you’re going commando. I’m not sure if that rule applies to female customers but they heavily enforce it for the most part if you’re a guy. I don’t know why it really matters if a guy has on underwear or not but whatever.
There is an upper level which is where you enter the club and there is a lower level right past the main stage. The upper level is more of a party atmosphere and the lower level is generally more of a chill atmosphere with a slightly greater chance of better dance mileage. There’s a bar, pool tables and restrooms located on both levels of the club. Additionally, there is a small satellite stage on the lower level where one or two dancers can show their twerking or pole skills. The upper level mostly has booths for sitting, whereas the bottom level predominately has high chairs and tables. There are two VIP rooms on the lower level near the bar area which are always unoccupied. I normally spend most of my time and money downstairs on the lower level.
