First visit since the change in Ownership

As others have said the ownership has changed. Emailed the Mods to name change and new web site but it still has not been updated on the board as of this writing.

Had not stopped in this establishment since the new owners had taken over. The old web site is no longer working but the new ownership website for the Peppermint Hippo – Akron says they are open 11:00 AM to 2:30 AM every day. While heading out to get some lunch, drove by at 11:15 and only on car in the huge lot and it was parked in the back of the building area. Went to lunch and swung by afterword, just after noon, and there was the one care from before and one pick-up in front. Ran another couple of errands and by 3:30 PM they seem to be open so I stopped in.

Other than the new name sign on the front of the building, it looks the same. Inner doors were closed and left door had a note on it to use the other door before 6:30 PM. So I would guess that the cover charge starts at 6:30 PM? Walked in and the place was a lot darker than it used to be in the daytime so had to let my eyes adjust for a few seconds. Bar is the left in an oval shape with a small stage toward the seating area and open on the back for waitresses and bar staff to easily go to the back and kitchen area. Three large flat screens on each side of the oval bar usually with some sports channels on them. Main stage is to the right and is in a sunken area around it below the area of the main bar. Private dances are preformed along the back wall on the left in a separate area but is open for all to see. Straight out the back from the front doors is an outside smoking area that is widely used.
