I went to French Quarter at 23:00 on a Wednesday night and 20:45 on a Friday night. There is always a $20 cover charge at the door. They ask you to sign your name on a sheet of paper at the door. The club is BYOB. You can bring in beer and hard liquor in aluminum and glass. I generally would tow in my own cooler full of Sincweisers, Jagermeister, drinks I knew specific dancers there liked, and ice. The club sells buckets of ice to put your drinks in for $3. Smoking is allowed inside, and the secondhand smoke can get unbearable. One of the most important things to mention about this club is the fact there is no ATM, so come prepared with a lot of cash. The club wants to run credit cards, which I assume they add fees to. You are given a wristband when you pay the cover charge, so theoretically you could run out of the club to hit an ATM.
There is one stage toward the back right side of the room. It has a single pole. Dancers would do two song sets. Early in the evening, one song had to be classic rock or oldies, and the second song could be anything the dancer wanted per the eighty-something year old owner. Later in the evening, dancers could play whatever they wanted. Dancers only got topless on stage, but a couple flashed the beaver. When I was here in 2022, there wasn’t any stage contact. This time around, the playbook has greatly opened up. I was tipping girls in their g-strings, groping, and smacking asses.
There is a wide variety of dancers here in terms of body types, ethnicities, ages, and breast sizes. A few of the dancers are local, but most seem to commute from the Little Rock area. Last year there were some attractive young black dancers here that I feasted on, but all of the ebonies seemed to be older and big-bodied this go-around. On my Wednesday visit, an African-American dancer got angry when a guy in a suit turned down her VIP offer. She ended up screaming in his face and throwing a drink at him. The customer got escorted out, although the escalation was mostly not his fault. There were fifteen to twenty dancers working on both of my visits.

All private dances are prepaid at the bar. Private dances are full contact in small rooms in the basement. They all have couches with doorways covered by a curtain. The dancer can touch you, and you can touch the dancers all over. Two songs is $40. Three songs is $60. Four songs is $70. Five songs is $80. Six songs is $100. A half hour VIP is $150. A one hour Royale VIP is $400. There is also a half hour shower dance for $200. During the shower dance, supposedly the dancer gets naked and mounts you on a waterproof massage table. I was told the customer can wear his boxers or get completely naked. I believe there are eight rooms downstairs. Six are regular VIP rooms with a couch. The other two rooms are designated for the Royale VIP and the shower table. None of the rooms have cameras. Extras are possible with some of the dancers. One of the two nights I was there, there was a twenty minute wait to get an available VIP room.
I did the five song deal with two different dancers. Both dancers I tried out said they would get naked for an extra $100. Personally, I just stuck with topless lap dances. To me, full nudity was not worth more than doubling the cost of my five-dance sets. Gwenneth was good looking, but her private dances were horrible. The first thing she told me when we got into the room was that she wasn’t one of the extras ladies. She gave almost no grinding or intimacy. In my experience, this is pretty typical of dancers who are in relationships. I think she might have even cut me short a song or part of a song, but I didn’t care because I wanted to get back upstairs to my cooler. She even had the audacity to ask for a tip after her poor performance. Roxanne looked like a 7 on stage, but once I got her downstairs, she looked rough for only being twenty-six. I blame my distorted vision on the Sincweisers. Her lap dances were much better than Gwenneth’s. She said I could touch her all over, but then wouldn’t let me touch her boobs. She claimed her nipples were sensitive. So much for being told I could touch all over. That and her upsells were a little bit of a mood killer. I would not repeat with her either.
There are two song back rubs available for $50 and a half hour massage called “The Big Rub” available for $150. No dancers offered these two options, so maybe the massages are a thing of the past. The $30 dancer drink scam that I ran into last year also seems to have disappeared.
This strip club got so crowded on Friday night, that it was standing room only. There was a line down the sidewalk just to get in. Some people were irritated they paid $20 to be in a sardine can and couldn't sit their ass anywhere. It became so claustrophobic that I just left around midnight. This club should buy one of the vacant storefronts next door, knock the wall out and double or triple its size. There is definitely a demand for strippers when Oaklawn Park is running. I am sure I will return when I am in Spa City, but I will try to avoid Friday and Saturday nights during the racing season going forward.
