sinclair's Review

I went to French Quarter on a Wednesday night at 22:00. The strip club is in downtown Hot Springs right on the main drag, Arkansas Highway 7. You will have to find parking on the street. There was a $20 cover charge. They ask you to write your name on a sheet of paper and give you a wristband for in-and-out privileges. The club is BYOB. You can bring in beer, wine, or hard alcohol. The bartender gave me a bucket of ice and put my Sincweisers in it for free, so I gave her a tip. The bar is on the right wall and extends halfway down the room. The main stage is a square at the back of the room on the right side. It has a single pole in the middle. Beyond the stage is a staircase that leads down to the basement. There are six private dance rooms in the basement. Each one is a small room with a curtain over the opening. The club is fairly small and can get cramped if there are more than two dozen patrons inside. I would say French Quarter is 2,100 square feet at most. Music was a variety of classic rock, oldies, and more modern music. Dancers would do two song sets on stage, and at least one of the two songs had to be an older song. The owner is an eighty year old guy who doesn’t want an entire playlist of hip hop like some the dancers would prefer. As a result, you might hear a song by The Doors followed by a Kevin Gates banger. It is random and kind of interesting.

There were about a dozen dancers working. Nine dancers were white, and three dancers were black. There was a good variety of body types: slim, athletic, average, curvy. I would say fifty percent of the dancers were bangable. There was no contact at the stage. I stood there with dollars in my hand waiting for dancers to pounce me or pull their g-string open for my tip, but this does not happen at any Arkansas strip clubs. You just end up tossing your tips onto the stage and hope the dancer notices.
