Was it worth the gas ...

The light rain that evening had stopped as I pulled up to Beemer’s and the club parking lot was almost full so parked in the overflow area to the west. It was still a warm night as I entered the club. Two doors separated by a small area. After second door there are a couple of steps up to get to the bar area. Bar is an almost oval shape to the right with a bump-out towards the main stage which is directly ahead of you as you enter the second door. Seemed to be only a hand full of customers in the place and 3 or 4 dancers that I could see. One was dancing on the main stage but no one was sitting at the stage. Mens restroom is behind the bar opposite the side you come in on.

Sat at the bar and ordered a drink. It was $6.00 for mixed drink and additional $5.00 cover charge taken out with the first drink. Only saw the blond bartender, no bouncer or doorman was around. Two Dancers were sitting with customer that seem to be regulars. After a couple of songs the dancer on stage departed and another dancer went. A couple of other dancers came out of the back about this time so there were about 5 or 6 dancers actually working.

One brunette came over and sat next to me and started chatting me up with the usual chit chat. Seems she had been working there a year but not on a regular schedule, like I was interested. She asked about traveling and said she wanted to visit several places. Most she mentioned were outside the U.S. After a bit she excused herself and went over to talk with other dancers that had gathered at the back of the bar. Second dancer on stage finished and no other dancer replaced her. No DJ this night so guess it was a free for all if ladies wanted to dance?
