Not bad for a Wednesday

I Went to Chez Joey on a Wednesday night (around 7). Chez Joey, like most clubs on the block does not have private parking. On a weekday evening parking spots abound on the side streets intersecting Baltimore Ave. Be warned cars are occasionally broken into in this area, the police ticket quite aggressively after 10 pm, and when the available spaces become scant people will squeeze into tight spots with varying results.

The walk to the club can feel relatively perilous from the side streets; lots of young men and women loitering around, and a fairly robust homeless population. But the longing for cheap beer, and loose women can always motivate me to take ny chances.

Chez Joey is right in the middle of the block for better or for worse; you have the opportunity to sample some of the other adjacent clubs prior to entering, or can segue to another club if Chez is a dud. As is pro forma on the block you will be patted down by a security guard prior to entering with a level of scrutiny commensurate to your appearance, thugs be warned. Fortunately there is no entrance fee, unless you consider the compulsory manhandling to be an expense.
