Great Spot if Pompano is Too Far

Playmates is a medium/small SC located in southwestern Miami near Coral Gables, in a mostly industrial area. There’s a “VIP” valet parking lot right in front of the SC, but it is an absolute rip off. I was quoted $20 to drive my car ten feet, I said no thanks, the guy countered to $10, I said no thanks again, and found an open spot for free around the corner. Almost blew off the entire visit I was so annoyed about the attempted valet parking scam.

Nothing notable with the exterior, just a nondescript box building with a neon sign on the side. Upon entering, there’s the usual check-in area where I paid the $10 cover (9pm on a Thursday), got patted down, and tipped the check-in girl $2 since that’s apparently a thing in SoFlo.

Upon entering the SC, there’s a VIP/bottle service section as you veer right, and bathrooms are on your immediate left. Past the bathrooms on your left is the bar that runs maybe 25-30 feet long, and past that is an ATM near the entrance to the private rooms and the LD booth section. Opposite the bar (I want to say it was $13 for a Grey Goose soda) is the main stage, with seating all around. The overall vibe was slightly upscale, definitely no ghetto factor that I picked up on.
