Four club tour. BT's was the winner!
Brief background: I had a "window of opportunity" on a Friday afternoon to find a "spinner" for some adult entertainment. First stop was Landing Strip around 4:30 PM. I parked my own car (my preference over having some stranger in my car) and deposited my keys with the parking attendant as I entered the club. I climbed the stairs and entered the main club on the second floor. Usually there is a greeter at the top of the stairs but no one was present so I sat at a booth. Within minutes of sitting down, the manager stopped by to say that the booth had a $20 fee. I mentioned that I had been to the club many times during the afternoon and never been charged a booth fee. He said that the booth fees started at 4PM. The place was not crowded so I simply moved 6 feet away to a table near the stage rather than pay $20 to sit at a booth. I visit Landing strip about once or twice per month so I've met many of the entertainers. The afternoon shift talent needs some turnover of talent. The best was Violet, a slender woman with a fun, sexy vibe. She is a lot of fun in the VIP and at a reasonable price, but she was locked down with another customer. I chatted with the only new face on the shift. She was decent looking but she quoted $500 for some private dance fun. I was polite but declined that offer and she dropped her price to $400. I sent her on her way and seeing no other talent that peeked my interest, I decided to grab my car keys from the attendant (paid him the $7 fee plus $1 tip) and left the Landing Strip.
Next stop was Flight Club. Dropped my car with the mandatory valet and entered the club. I was stopped by the greeter who requested that I check my vest. When I said that I wanted to keep my vest on for warmth (it is Michigan in early spring!), she said, sorry no exceptions. So I went back out and reclaimed my car without entering the club. As a bit of background (forgive my wardrobe rant), I was wearing a light weight 1/4 zip shirt under a nice looking black zip up vest (an Arcteryx brand for those who know something about outdoor gear). The Flight Club allows smoking on their upper level and they have their HVAC fan cranked up to clear the smoke. That is great, but it also creates a drafty and sometimes chilly club. I like to wear another layer for warmth and besides this particular vest provided pockets. Still no admission with the vest. As a note, FC is notorious for being a stickler on clothing and for being inconsistent in enforcement of the dress code.
After being denied admission to the Flight Club, I drove east on Michigan Avenue to the Silver Cricket. Parked for free in the fenced lot behind the club. I entered the club (no fee in the afternoon and no complaints about my vest) and sat at a table near the stage. The waitress was slow so I sat for about 10 minutes looking at the stage show and the girls who were working. All of the dancers that I saw were much thicker and heavier that I prefer so I went to the bathroom and left without even seeing the waitress.
