A better Manhatten experience.
On my last visit to NYC, this club was closed so I visited another club with two locations. During this visit, I was walking to dinner and noticed Sapphire was open and along my return route. After dinner, I walked up to the doorman on the street. He invited me in after scanning my ID. You walk down a flight of stairs and then turn right to the entry hallway. I wasn't paying attention and missed the cashier to pay my cover on the right side of that short hallway. I went left and found the restroom. Of course there was a troll in there. I grabbed a paper towel and washed my own hands and avoided eye contact with him. I returned to the club when a dancer pointed out that I missed the cashier. I went back and paid my $20 cover. They were understanding and no drama.
From the hallway, as I said, the restrooms are to the left while the L-shaped bar is straight ahead and the stage is to the right. There were seats at the bar or several tables in the stage area. The closest tables were reserved. I selected a table along the wall.
Two dancers stopped by and turned on a sign on my table to get drink service. I was able to turn it back off while we were chatting. They asked about doing dances. I asked how much they were and they replied $20/song for each. I told them I'd do back to back songs with them one at a time after having learned that duo dances aren't a good value several years ago. They agreed.
